Every couple of years I forget why I should not disagree with someone on social media and I proceed to chime in on a conversation. Every couple of years I am reminded of the society that we live in and how no one is allowed to disagree with anyone without subjecting themselves to personal jabs or having the “kracken” unleashed.
Seriously people……why is it so difficult to have someone disagree with your perspective? It doesn’t make them an idiot, it makes them someone with a brain and a thought process. Respective dialogue is something that we should encourage. The ability to be able to hear what someone else has to say without having to agree is an important quality. The capacity to “agree to disagree” is a quality that is becoming a thing of the past.
